Our first "Instagram official" photo - which was a big deal 12 years ago. The caption: "This guy is a thief...he stole my heart." Quite sappy, but not too bad for a 16 year old. We were in band together in high school, and this picture was taken at one of our practices. Although it is our first "official" picture, our first date was in fact not at a band practice, but at a roller rink.

Back to the Huntington Garden's we go - to say YES. We had recently finished watching The Good Place, some of which was in fact shot here. The proposal: "I wanted to bring you to the Good Place, because every day with you is the best place to be".

A casual date night out at our favorite "reservation only" restaurant, Strongwater, in Anaheim, California.

Our first trip to Hawai'i to visit Nik's family. Fun people and gorgeous views. A few months later, Katie would start medical school and we would move to South Dakota.
